| The Ancient Greek world is viewed as the fountainhead of western civilisation, whose innovations included art, literature, mathematics, philosophy, democratic government and law. Housed on the ground and first floors, our Greek objects paint a broad picture of everyday life, especially banqueting and mythology, as expressed in the exquisite red-and-black figure pottery and gold jewellery worn for such occasions. This is reinterpreted in the present by the brilliant work of Keith Haring and Pablo Picasson. | |
