School & extra-curricular visits

The Mougins Museum of Classical Art (MACM) learning program offers schoolchildren from kindergarten to post-baccalaureate and extracurricular groups the opportunity to discover the museum's collections through a variety of educational approaches.

The MACM is a museum that sparks children’s interest and offers an environment conducive to out-of-classroom learning. Antiquities are interspersed with artworks by Picasso, Warhol, Matisse, Chagall, Calder... The MACM collection will take you on a journey in the footsteps of the ancient civilisations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome where you will encounter some of the greatest artists of all time.

You are invited to choose either a guided session led by a member of the MACM team or a self-guided visit that will allow you to take charge of the tour. In both cases, the format and the duration of your visit can be adjusted to your learning goals. Do not hesitate to come and meet us ahead of time to discuss your visit and your requirements with us.

Self-led visit: we can provide you with learning resources or activity sheets to help you plan and support your visit.

Guided session: you can select a tour amongst the following guided visit topics or contact us to plan a bespoke session.

Depending on how long you wish the visit to last, (we generally recommend 1.5 hours), you may choose to visit the museum as a whole or to focus on one or two topics.

We invite you to consult the suggested themes below for guidance and to contact us so that we can plan your visit together. These topics (and any additional activities proposed) are adapted to the children’s age.

These lists are not exhaustive, many other possibilities and topic combinations are possible.
